Rainy run
It is 61! In Milton! In Jan!!
Some wise man once said “Climate is what you expect. Weather is what you get”. How true!
Two years back, this week in Jan was so cold and so much ice and snow that my car could not even get to the property gate. Before I could clear the last hill, it slipped all the way down off road and stopped between two trees!! Today, it is a balmy spring like 61!! Go figure!
A relative fast 5K run…
Another run by Oconee
Run by Lake Oconee
First Sunday Bengali run of the year
First Sunday morning Bengali run. I was the only one who showed up π Well, I have the whole Starbucks to myself now π
Paid dearly for not packing my barefoot shoes for India. (Ran in my travel sneakers). Lot of pain in left lower calf muscle and a weird pain on my right foot right under where you have the shoelace knot. At around one mile, there was a sudden searing pain. I jumped up in surprise and pain. Could not put my foot down. After a few minutes, ran slowly back taking care to land on the outer edge of the foot. Any of you have had this problem before?
Slightly warmed up…
One advantage of running in 20 degrees is that the next day run in 29 degrees is a breeze. Especially when there is no breeze π Sunday morning run with the dependable-as-rock Samaresh Mukhopadhyay. Our other partner Amitesh Mukherjee is basking in the Florida sun (like every other really old person π )
First run with Chandresh
First sub-zero run of the season. 30 degrees. With wind chill 20 in Milton (-6 Celsius). Had a great run with Chandresh Modi. I had at least one layer more than him on my body and two on the head. Want to guess who was born in a village in UK and who was born in a village in India? π In my defense, I shave my head and he has started growing a beard π
