The water level was much higher this week, and the currents were stronger. Going upstream was a bear … floating downstream was much faster!

The Chattahoochee water level was fairly low. Got stuck at one point, mid-river. Needed some acrobatics to get out.

Really liking it…

The river was slow and the breeze was lovely. Looks like there was some kind of medical emergency in the river today. The EMT took apparently a lady who had panicked out.

For me, it was a nice and lazy ride though.

The river was a bit fast flowing today (lot of water released from the dam). Upstream was a bit of an effort. Downstream was a breeze.

It was all by myself today. Nikita did not come. The river was a bit faster flowing with all the rains. The upstream paddling was a trifle tiring but floating down was a breeze.

First time went out kayaking with Nikita on the Chattahoochee river. It was a warm day but we loved the time on the water. Saw some turtles basking in the sun up Vickery Creek.
