The border checkpoints – inspite of the new EES rules effective Apr 1 – was fairly smooth.

We reached our first destination in BiH – Mostar. Old, quaint town with the clear Neretva flowing thru the town.

The idea is to use it to cross to the other side of the town.

The water of the Neretva is so clear. This is taken from the top of the Old Bridge in Mostar.

It was difficult to negotiate our ways thru the small alleys. And this is nowhere close to peak season for tourists!!

The guy just showed up in diving suits and without much announcements, simply jumped from the bridge. This must be a regular thing – for all the boats stopped to give him space!

We arrived at the Kravica Waterfall. But not without our share of adventure. First, the GPS took us to a road that was shut down. Then it took us straight into somebody’s house. Finally, we found our way.

As we were climbing down the steps to the waterfall, Sharmila took a tumble. It was a big scare since she took it hard on two of her fingers. It is alright now. They are recovering fine. But at that time, it was very scary. Fortunately, the water in the waterfall was stone cold. Held the fingers in the water at the top of one of the branches of the waterfall till the pain subsided.

All in all, we came out on top!
