  5. Guess who we ran into? May 22, 2021

    Good old Roger!

Our friend of 22 years from Dallas!! The guy with whom I trekked thru the Gobi desert! We were in Marco Island and he was visiting clients in Fort Myers…

A dinner together had to happen. And of course, plan for the next crazy trip!!

  6. Early morning Gulf waters May 23, 2021

This is facing west – the sun is behind us.

  7. Contrasts in blue May 23, 2021

The difference in the blue colors is mostly an effect of the shadow cast by a big cloud that suddenly showed up

  8. Egret May 23, 2021

I think this is a Snowy Egret

  9. Another shot of the Gulf May 23, 2021

  10. Sailing away… May 23, 2021

I had to zoom in hard with my 300mm lens to see if the sailor couple were Indians. In case you did not get the reference – that is exactly how the Indian flag looks – green-white-red and blue in between!

What colors today on the beach!

  11. A White Ibis on Marco Island beach May 23, 2021

  12. This is probably a heron May 24, 2021

Caught a fish with one swift move of its neck…

  13. Playful dolphins May 24, 2021

  18. Mangrove forests in The Ten Thousand Islands May 24, 2021

  19. Dome Home May 24, 2021

Barely a couple of decades back, this was a vacation home in an island. Now erosion has completely moved the sand out from under it. Two domes are in the water and four are still sticking out. I asked Captain Austin how long he things these domes will last. He did not give it more than two years or one more storm!!

  20. Fresh sand bars! May 24, 2021

While erosion has taken away sand from one side – e.g. from the Dome Home area, it has deposited them elsewhere making fresh new sand bars.

    The water colors were outstanding!

  21. Sharmila driving a Slingshot for the first time.. May 24, 2021

    Good Bye, Fort Myers!
