“Runner” cholechhey..
This morning I got into the car and a casual glance at the passenger seat revealed that I had not mailed an envelope since Monday. So, changed my running route plans and put in a run to the post office from Starbucks – about two and a half miles each way…
… thereby earning the moniker “Runner” in two different languages simultaneously π
This was probably the only run where I was hoping against hopes that it would NOT rain!!!

Half marathon (13.1M / 21km) on a beautiful spring afternoon
Sunday morning speedruns
As the Chalupa group hit the trail for their 5K run, I went to the nearby tracks to put in some speed runs. Did a few 100 meter sprints with a lot of recovery times in between. The best dash was at 15 seconds (100 m). That was at about 4 min/mile (only for 100 m though). One shot came pretty cool – with both feet clearing the ground by about six inches. However, you can also see the grimace on the face as I was gasping for air with the heartbeat hitting close to 180.

8 miles on a beautiful Saturday afternoon…
Chalupa (non)Run
That was an unplanned half marathon
The idea was to go ahead and put in a 10K run before lunch. Finished it at 9:30 pace. As I started stretching and relaxing, the rains came in. It was too tempting not to go back to the trail. Changed my shirt and finished up another 11K (much more slowly) in the slight drizzle to finish up a half marathon (21K) in 2 hours and 10 minutes.
Now I am really really hungry…

Sunday morning with a few die hard Chalupa runners
Put in a couple of miles by myself before Mr. Discipline Samaresh showed up at 8 sharp. And then Surajit joined. Put in another four miles – which felt like a lot more since Mr. Long Strides Surajit was pacing me at 8:30 min/mile. The trail was pretty desolate in the below freezing temperatures this morning.
