17 cans of paint painstakingly hardened. I feel now I can take a petty thief and convert him to a hardened criminal also 🙂

Family pool time. With very unconventional swimming gear!!!

4 years of engineering and it still took me 45 minutes to realize that the doggone capacitor is kaput. Good news – the more expensive motor is fine. All fixed. I am jumping back in the pool.

At Woodruff Arts for Nikita’s Indian dance performance. She made me really proud. I don’t help in this part of her life but I am so happy that Sharmila does the running around so Niki can still keep some connection with Indian culture. 
If you are around, I should be easy to spot. Of all the formally dressed people streaming in for the Symphony at 8, I am the one sitting in shorts and beach shirt with red wine 🙂 — at Alliance Theatre.

Sharmila’s gift to me for our anniversary. (oil on canvas) I think this makes up for her forgetting which anniversary this is 🙂 for the record it is 19th…

Step 1. Easy. Break it apart.
Step 2. Tiring. Clean the whole thing.
Step 3. Difficult. Put it back.
Step 4. Very difficult. Do step 3 without leaving any extra parts in hand after completion 🙂

Niki is a big help!

Pool filters cleaned, hot tub filters cleaned, car washed and cleaned. Exhausted, dozing off by the pool with Bengali “adhunik” songs on… like the lazy Sunday afternoons of childhood days (“adhunik gaaner anurodher asar”). One thing missing though – the aroma of “pnathar mangsho” (goat meat) cooking wafting from every Bengali household..
