Sometimes it is about life giving you lemons…
… and you finding some gin and tonic to go with it.
Let’s just say I am not the biggest fan of people who cancel meetings, are late to arrive and late to leave. Both in office meetings and personal life parties. Certainly I am, at times, guilty of the same. But heaven knows how much I try to not do so. Which might explain why I come to parties alone on time and the family comes later.
Anyways, I had a canceled meeting in St. Louis today. I was not amused. Time is truly the only constrained resource I have.
I had to adapt to deal with my blood pressure and recognizing that maybe it was not a canceled meeting – it was an extra hour I was gifted …
I can deal with a gift – went for a quick 5K of run in a nearby trail by the lake and a quick shower in that hour…

Separated at birth?
This morning, my long term running partner Samaresh and I showed up almost in identical looks π
Good turnout at Chalupa run this morning (Sharmila, Malobika, Puja, Gita, Sreerupa, Indrani, Seemitadi, Mrinalda, Samaresh and Ayan). The women completely outnumbered us though. (As you can imagine, at the Starbucks table, our side of the table was unusually quiet π )

Nikispeak – tips on Happiness
There I was in my bar trying to study up what cocktail to make for the evening when I hear the following conversation going on upstairs…
Sharmila (yelling): “Nikita, why is your room still in this shape?” (I assume she walked into her room and everything was in sixes and sevens)
Nikita replied, very calmly: “Mom, here is a tip on happiness. Don’t worry about what you cannot control”.
And I was like – “Sit down with me, girl. I don’t need no alcohol to entertain me this evening” π
