Molly why do you think I consider you to be a drunkard with a running problem? πŸ™‚ BTW, we are up in the air and the first officer does the usual announcements and then rattles off all the drinks that are available on this flight! And I am like – Do you really need to encourage them any more??

don’t knock the idea. i was once flying from point a to point b (the identities of a and b have been lost in the fog that is my memory but i do recall that they were on opposite sides of the world) and changing flights somewhere in the middle east. i was faced with the same choice at 6am, soon after i’d boarded the last leg of this interminable journey, so i chose wisely. the guy next to turned out to be a devout muslim (or so i concluded from the attire, skull cap, and beard). he asked me what i was drinking. i told him. he got up. and left. never saw him again.

This was an old 717. 12 seats in the front. 8 had ordered alcoholic drinks (one couple looked like they were going in vacation – I guess they should get a pass). The elderly lady next to me and myself were exceptions. Not for too long! Moment we went up in the air, she asked for some white wine!!!!

Those drinks are obviously still having an effect an your ability to type. It’s called a “7&7”, not a “717”.
