Road-Blogs Ahead! Guess what happened? :-)

This one should have been my puzzle of the week 🙂
Look at the picture carefully. I am in Delta flight 1195 – needless to say, grounded in DC due to weather in Atlanta et cetera et cetera et cetera. And then something happened.

What you see in this picture is our flight attendant with two shoes in his hand and all the passengers staring at him.

Take a guess – what happened? Points for the most humorous and the most far fetched ideas.

I will tell you that even for a travel veteran like me, this was bizarre!!

I will post the answer after a day….

Shiva, that actually makes some sense, but how would they know that the passenger was for this flight?

Amrith , thinking about your suggestion, that makes sense but he should have carried lady’s high heel shoes 🙂

Rajib, sneakers can tear an escape raft; don’t you watch smithsonian channel or science channel. let that be a lesson to you, in future make sure you take off your high healed shoes if you have to hop on an emergency chute.

“You nasty nasty people. This is not your living room. I took these shoes from the passenger in 30A after he fell asleep. Let this be a lesson to the rest of you. You take your shoes off, you pollute my air and then you fall asleep? I’m keeping these.”

ok, here’s one. he is saying on the microphone … “folks, there’s this here who will give me $100 to stand here with these smelly shoes of his so he can take a picture and post it on facebook. As you know, delta doesn’t pay worth crap so I took him up on it. Please bear with me”.

Similar to Manjit’s idea … “If any of you have shoes like this which are making a ticking noise, please ring your call bell”.

“Please remove your shoes before you start moving in this narrow aisle, to avoid trampling on other’s shoes.” he seems to be lecturing!!!

Rajib, being married to an airline exec, and also have spent my early years as a flight attendant, I think the shoes were either left in the lav or exhibiting a horrible smell.

On a serious note, the flight attendant is wearing black shoes. So the pair in his hand is somebody else’s! Somebody must have left his shoes in the aisle due to cramped feet and the attendant is displaying the same, urging others not to do the same to avoid tripping!

Someone’s feet got numb sitting on the flight for long , then while the flight landed the shoes rolled over from the passengers seat to the front … the passengers instead of looking at the man should pinch their legs and see whether they have their own shoes or not !!!

What could have possibly happened (in order of lower probability ??? ):

    – Someone is actually wearing (past security check etc.) 2 right leg shoes and the attendant is holding (perhaps) 2 left leg shoes.
    – Shoes left un-attended in the flight and the attendant is trying to return it to the owner.

    Add some humour now –

‘Ok travelers! if anyone here wants to dump his or her shoes in my flight, then you are most welcome to do so..but let it be one right and one left shoe’

‘we are grounded..yes…and that’s bad. But nobody….nobody leave their shoes in my microwave’

‘these don’t fit me, i am size 14’
