October 30th, revisited

In my previous post I mentioned that Sharmila told me “No” on this day 21 years back. I also mentioned that it took me of few months to turn her around.
At this point, you have to imagine me like the meerkat in that famous Lion King scene when the lioness Nala is trying to attack them and they just realized that she is a friend of their friend and protector Simba.
I am flailing my arms and legs in the air, jumping up and down, yelling “And my Facebook friends think TODAY is my anniversary day?” πŸ™‚

Ok. I am game. But then if I have to go by all the girls who told me “No”, I probably should be celebrating a dozen anniversaries πŸ™‚

No, no, it is the resolution that we are appreciative of and your determination to see it through. We can only assume you did not make the same resolution with anyone else! We are just happy for you man x

In true Rajib fashion, do you still happen to track down the girls that said no to you and catch up with them… πŸ™‚

I suppose most of us never specified which anniversary we were happy about πŸ™‚
Really, we could be happy about anything. Although I agree with Paromita.

What do you think people interpret when you post picture of a beautiful young lady with a caption of a date and a starting sentence with “Exactly 21 years back”? Logically thinking minds conclude that it is an anniversary with a probability of 0.99 πŸ™‚
Anyways, it is an anniversary of a life event when you decided to persuade an important lady in your life to negotiate the “no” to “yes” with a best possible deal! For that we congratulate you. Happy anniversary, either today or in advance for the day she said “yes”!

Sharmila Roy -> Now we all know the “No” anniversary, can we have the exact date for the “Yes” anniversary, “A few months” mentioned by Rajiv is not working! πŸ™‚ Many happy returns of the day anyways to both of you for both the “No” and the “Yes” anniversaries!

This is what happens when you blindly follow the crowd. I did not think so from your post but then did not want to be left behind – afterall 150 people cannot be wrong:) Anyways, you don’t like to hear a ‘no’ and so mentally that is when you were sure! Btw, does showing only the back seat have any significance? πŸ™‚ Knowing you, there may be a story for that too.

I never said wedding anniversary. You posted cause you think it was worthwhile to relive this day. We celebrate that day as well.
