So for those who are wondering – the system glitch happened due to a complicated series of events. The long and short of it all flights to New York got canceled. I was checked into a 10:30 an flight which was subsequently canceled and rebooked on a flight the next day at 6 am.
The boarding pass correctly corrects itself to the new departure and arrival times but missed on the fact that the boarding time needed to be refreshed. That boarding time was the canceled flight’s.
In general, I find Delta’s mobile app to be excellent…

Delta allows 20 hrs and 10 mins to board. That is quite nice for my wife who likes to arrive early.
