Do you know the answer?

I can’t find the answer to the question I had for myself today. I Googled but still can’t find it. The question is – Which river forms the longest international boundary?

Speaking of rivers and international boundaries, what is your guess about which river crosses the maximum number of international borders? In fact, it flows thru as many as 10 countries.

Here is another interesting trivia question – there is a point close to the above river where three country borders meet. At that point is a picnic table that is shaped as an equilateral triangle! The sides are parallel to the borders! There are three benches on the three sides with the appropriate country’s flag imprinted on their side. You can eat your food and jump from country to country without needing any visa!! Want to guess what those countries are?

Narayan, I read up on this – couple of guesses included thus (I came at it from Russia and China are big countries, another guess I had was the Rio Grande). Could you see where it effectively said it firms the longest boundary or even the length of the boundary?

From the Google maps, it appears to me (not very authentic read) both the rivers lie entirely on the border. In which case, Rio might be the answer (unless there is a longer one)

The answer to your second question is the Danube. However if you think outside the box a little bit, the River Avon (or Avon River) flows through at least 6 countries, and exists in 19 separate locations ๐Ÿ˜€

It flows through England 5 times, Scotland 3 times, Wales twice, Canada twice, New Zealand twice, and Australia 5 times. None of which are the same river, they all share the name (hence thinking outside the box a stretch)
