Have you seen this in Chattahoochee before?
Rode the bike to river Chattahoochee and while sitting on the banks, noticed something interesting … our side of the water was muddy and the other side was clear. The dividing line was pretty much in the middle although, in this picture it does not look that way (because I am too close to this side).
Interesting phenomenon!

Another 5K race – this time with a twist
Within two weeks of the last race (which left me in quite some aches and pains), I decided to go for another 5K race. Some like Sharmila might be tempted to ask “এত রেষারেষির কি আছে?” 🙂
Truth be spoken, I was afraid that I will hurt myself again. So, decided to try a new thing. The problem of getting hurt stems from me pushing myself too hard. And that comes from constantly watching the speed and distance on my Garmin.
This time, I decided to enjoy the run. No watch, no phone. Just go and run. My life, my race – not trying to beat anybody. Just trying to come out on the other side gracefully.
Turns out, I really enjoyed the run. The chip time showed about a couple of minutes slower than the last race. About 10:23 seconds per mile.
I did not care who was passing me and who I passed. I did not care how much was left and if I was falling behind my target. Anytime the body gave a warning, I slowed down and anytime the body allowed, I speeded up.
Thoroughly enjoyed it. I think I am going to start running without any watches all the time. I just need to figure out how to keep track of total miles being run.

Motorcycle browsing this morning
100 miles plus ride after quite some time
Almost full moon
First day out in the boat this season
Looks like star anise coffee for me this morning!
I did not know the existence of this
All these years I have been landing and taking off in JFK and never realized that Terminal 5 (which was for TWA airlines that went bankrupt after the crash in 1996 and was bought by American Airlines) is a TWA themed hotel. There are two hotel buildings, the whole decor is that of a throwback to the yesteryears. There are old vintage cars, the checking in counters are for the hotel!, there is a swimming pool overlooking the runway and even an airplane there that has been converted to a bar! Definitely check it out next time you are in JFK!
