Saw this interesting light hanging at the breakfast place today. Note that this is not the original picture. It was taken with my iPhone and then I reduced the brightness dramatically to make the glowing filament (which caught my attention) stand out.

His friends are long gone. But he – with his pale yellow shoot and pock marked skin – is still clinging on to the twig and to dear life…

And I have no idea what the name is. Caught my eye when I was doing some work in the yard. Sharmila was not sure of the name either but let me know about the poisonous bit…

The wing surface is barely visible. Almost looks like an incoming plane of some sort…

I often get my bird names wrong. I hope I got this butterfly name right. This was flitting around in our garden today.
