Pushed hard and finished the first 7 miles at 8:13 min/mile. Then took a 10 minute break – and of course, an orange – and then went back for a 3 mile recovery run at 9:54 min/mile.

Now for full rest for four days till June rolls in…

Samaresh, Arup and I ditched the idea of running in the trail and instead ran on concrete sidewalks. The road was very hilly and there were some great spots for taking “action” pictures. Unfortunately my phone was almost drained of battery and therefore, I had left it in the car. When we came back, I took a chance and put it on the car hood to take a picture of us. It did. About three seconds before completely dying!!

After the heavy rains, it was humid as heck. It sapped a lot more energy to put in ten miles than it should have…

Again, just when I was feeling good about my speed (peaked at 7:30 min/mile), ran into Greg who made my pace look like a snail’s crawl!!

I bet I did better than him in drinking coffee at Starbucks though 🙂

This is only the second city I have run in Canada in my life. Lot of runs in Toronto and nearby but nowhere else in Canada. Till now!

16 miles in 2 hours and 43 minutes. It was a beautiful spring afternoon…

Was feeling good about the pace till I ran into Greg who apparently ran a 50 mile race the previous weekend in 7 hours 30 minutes. And that included the time for breaks!!!

Ah! At least I took in a lot of sunshine today… 🙂
