From the bartender’s corner – Corpse Reviver
In the past, I have made a few variations of this gin based drink – Viking Corpse Reviver #2, Cutch Courage Corpse Reviver #2, and the storied Corpse Reviver #2 from London that was rumored to be an antidote to a hangover.
This one is a slight variation – this uses 1.5 ounces of brandy, 0.75 ounces of cognac and 0.75 ounces of sweet vermouth. (Some use apple brandy instead of cognac)

Morning run with Bill and Molly
The last time we ran together was over four years back. Bill put in 10 miles, I put in 14 miles and Molly put in 30 miles that day! And my legs hurt.
Compare that to today. All three of us ran 4.5 miles. I bust my left calf muscle. Had to drag myself the rest of the day. And Molly is getting ready for her “Oh-thirty-plus”th marathon/ultamarathon in under a month and half.
It was great fun to catch up with Bill and Molly. They always have funny stories. Also, Molly still has the habit of wishing Good Morning to any runner/walker who passes by…

Fourth lesson in skateboarding
From the bartender’s corner – Fashionable Manhattan
Picked this cocktail up from The Cocktail Project. Three parts bourbon, one part sweet vermouth, Angostura bitters with muddled lime, lemon and orange.
The muddling of lime, lemon and orange is done separately in the glass itself. The bourbon, vermouth and bitters is shaken with ice separately and then strained into the glass.

Montages from the ride
Motorbike ride with the other three
The “Cuatro Sinko” group – Avi, Rakesh, John and myself took advantage of the afternoon sun and nice temperatures and hit the road to check out Burnt Mountain overlook. On the way, we stopped at Ellijay Coffeehouse for some coffee. Total of a little over 125M (200K) ride.
It was a completely clear day and the view from Burnt Mountain Lookout point was clear all the way to the horizon. One of the rare days where we could see Stone Mountain from there.

Met the monthly goal
7K run in pouring rain
This is what I get for being lazy for a week. Had to put in a run today and I still have another 5K to go tomorrow – the last day of the month – to meet my this month’s target. It was raining and a little cold (58 deg F). Nobody was there in the trail. There is a different beauty to a desolate trail in the forests with the constant pitter patter noise of the rain. There were two deer that was looking for food and did not even budge as I ran past them within a couple of feet.

One more small step for a man…
Thanks to Nikita’s tip, I finally figured out how to get on the board and stay there for a few seconds. Of course, it is not pretty as I flail my arms like a drunken sailor to not fall overboard… and my left foot is clearly on the edge which is making the board turn left constantly… but at least, I stayed on.
By the way, Nikita’s tip was “You are overthinking this, Dad. Just get up.” Amazingly enough, it worked!!!
