Round trip to Dahlonega…

… large leap for motorbiking!!

Really enjoying the morning rides.. quieter environment, low traffic, nice temps…

Got up very early to go on a bike ride before all the office crowd could start clogging up the streets. Enjoyable ride on a nice cool morning

Had not seen John in a long time. I got to know John in the motorcycle safety classes last year. Having retired for a year then, he was seeking some adventure and got on to his first bike.

Avi, of course, was one of initial persons who encouraged me to try a bike.

It was the three of us for a lunch ride to Pelican Pete on Lake Lanier.

Yessss!! Managed to finish the ride without breaking any bones!!

First 100+ mile ride. Great ride organized by Rakesh Rao up to Burnt Mountain and the cute town of Talking Rock – where uptown is one house separated from downtown!! Best part was being part of a 9 rider team. Of course, I was the one with the least experience and was no doubt tentative at times – especially those right twistys on downhill but it was a great experience to ride with a large group from Gears and Beers!

The trip included a couple of stops to enjoy the views and a lunch break as well as a ice cream break!

Sometimes, coffee is a good enough excuse to take the bikes out!!!
