This one was 30 minutes of ride in fairly cold temperatures. I had more layers on me than a fully grown onion in its prime.

Did a solo ride to Ballground to spend some time at Barrel House Coffee Company with the wonderful staff there – Sidney, Kevin and Autumn – and catch up on some reading. That part went well.

On the ride back, got caught in fairly strong rains. I had enough layers on – and it was not the soaking part that bothered me. It was the helmet visor that kept becoming too blurry.

The good news was that there was no traffic at all. So, I was able to ride back at my own sweet pace…

50 mile ride around in a great Atlanta afternoon…

Had an enjoyable ride up in the mountains today with John. The section between Faussett Lake and Burnt Mountain was brilliantly colored. Just last week, this stretch was all green. All the colorful leaves had fallen due to Zeta.

After the storm, the second round of colors have just started appearing. Needs another week, I would say. Also, need a full sunlight day to see thee colors well. Regardless, it was very quiet and serene..

John and I took a break at Lake Fausset. The sky was overcast and the trees around the lake had not yet caught the colors. (We had to go a little more uphill for that).
