From the bartender’s corner – Green Hornet
This one stings – with its sourness. You can dilute it with tonic water and simple syrup.
The actual ingredients are Pisco, lemon juice and tonic water.
Use lime wedge to garnish and serve in a low ball glass.
I use Fever Tree tonic water from India. Somehow I feel that is better than all other tonic waters…
From the bartender’s corner – Chilcano
This one is dedicated to you Jim Giannakakis!! Most favorite summer drink in Peru, there is a whole week in Jan (summer in Peru) that is celebrated as Chilcano week!
Ingredients include Pisco, ginger ale, fresh lime juice, optional simple syrup, angostura bitters and a lime wedge garnishing.
Very refreshing!!
From the bartender’s corner – Col. Pepper’s Lonely Mango
Great for a wet and cold day like today. Did not have Southern Comfort Fiery Pepper. Instead used some Aji Chileno that I had brought from Chile. Also, sprinkled some cayenne pepper on top to give the nice look and a kick at the end of every sip.
Other ingredients include Mango Vodka, mango pulp, club soda and lime wedge.
From the bartender’s corner – Blueberry Rainforest
Not exactly the best drink for a rainy day like today – more of a sunny day drink but I had to use the blueberries before they went bad on me đ
Blueberry vodka, mango pulp, agave nectar, lemon juice and then garnished with blueberries. If I had a lemon, I would have added that as an additional garnishing.
From the bartender’s corner – Vodka Tonic Orange
From the bartender’s corner – Gold Rush
From the bartender’s corner – Window Pane
This is a decidedly rainy day drink. The whiskey gives the strength and the blood orange smooths it out…
Scotch whiskey, blood orange liqueur, simple syrup, lemon juice and mint leaves. Garnished with a slice of orange wheel doubled and a sprig of mint.
Usually served in a old fashioned double glass.
Had to throw away twice before I got the right mix of the edge of the whiskey and the softening of taste by other ingredients…
