Had a good day out with Surya. We spent a lot of time on the lake and on the shores discussing maths, probability, philosophy, social media and geopolitics. Learned a few new concepts like constructionism and why cars have that extra rear brake light in the middle.

Love how smart the younger generation is always becoming. Being able to defend a point or two in the debates with the younger generation seems to be an worthwhile achievement to the much older myself.

This is the first time I met him. His dad – Debashis – and I went to high school together!! During a birthday call recently, I realized that his son is studying in Georgia Tech!!! Wish I had spent more time discussing and debating with Surya during his stint here in Atlanta.

Saw some nice houseboats in the water today

It was not just the three of us enjoying the sun at Twisted Oar. We had company. This turtle basked in the sun as long as we were there. When Jay Jay went near it, it immediately scooted under water. But as soon as we walked away to our table, it came back up to the tug-wire and got back to enjoying the sun – half in and half out of the water making it look like it was half tanned!

And he did too!

Nice lunch at Twisted Oar. Met Lexi but missed Ashley.

Checked out a few more parts of the lake before settling down in Landshark. Got more practice is solo docking. With the high winds, I was a little worried of the drift but it worked out just fine.

Took the boat out by myself since all my friends and Sharmila was busy. Was a bit worried about docking by myself but turned out not to be a major issue. The sun was awesome.

First time to Margaritaville (from the water side)

It was a bit on the colder side but we had layered up! The lake was reasonably empty but Pelican Pete had an hour wait time!!
