I can vouch for the fact that this middle pose happens regularly in KSA – one warehouse I used to work in had to remove all the toilet seats as people kept falling on the floor whilst squatting this way!
No sh**t!!! I mean literally and figuratively…

One may adopt pose #2 is to separate oneself from what may be lurking down there, but assumes the risk of slipping and falling with a splash. No risk, no reward. The sign attempts to separate the wise from the stupid.
I have seen it for real, if you can believe it…and my eyes have been scarred for life! They need to be more diligent about locking their doors!
