Have you seen this before?

If you have, just write that you have seen it. But if you have not seen this before (in India), take a guess what this sign of a mail man looking icon seemingly hitting on the head of a woman looking icon with a drumstick or something stands for…

      Just wondering.. We have folks in India who are incapable of reading signs on rest rooms. Perhaps a different kind of sign may be more effective for them..

    I am half afraid somebody will suggest “teaching safe sex to the truck drivers at the toll booth?” (For context see a previous post)

    when the aliens land
    They’re gonna decipher Egyptian hieroglyphics in a few seconds
    They’re gonna figure out Malayalam in 3 minutes
    They’re gonna be already fluent in Japanese
    But this icon is gonna fox them

      I have seen these boxes, but because after every security check, the primary concern is to recover your bag and belongings while ensuring you do not pick up someone else’s stuff, I have never managed to look at these kiosks from the rear. I also noticed the pink here – usually it is gray or blue (or black) at Indian airports for such signs.

    ANSWER::
    Well, believe it or not, this is showing a security person at the airport (in India CISF – like TSA in US) doing the security screen of a woman. The frisking / security pat down / metal detector check for a lady in India is done in a booth to give privacy. This is the big sign on that booth. See the picture attached…

    Too many unanswered questions:
    1. In India, it is always a lady security person who does the screening for a lady. Why is this showing different?
    2, Why is this sign on the backside (you can see it after you are done with screening and come to collect your bags)
    3. What kind of an art is this? That metal detector – that looks like a microphone. Why above the head? How many times has anyone been screen above the head?

    Ah! Well, like I said – these are the small enigmas that make India so charming…

    security checks are reaching newer heights everyday. In Philippines, they now use a foot long wand to run through your bag, and, ahem, your body bumps 🙂
