The trick was to run 41.2 miles (66Km) in the week…

This was the eighth one of the year. In beastly hot weather if 90plus temperatures.

Went to run with the Chalupa group after quite some time. 7.5 miles (12K) in an hour and seven minutes… missed the coffee after though…

It was good to see Samaresh, Ayan, Mrinalda, Arup, Seemitadi, our youngest runner Uma (who put in a mile with me) and of course Sharmila and Jay Jay in the trails…

Two days of full rest and then back to the grind to achieve the annual goal…

Started the run by myself not sure how much I was going to put in. After the first mile, ran into Samaresh running from the other side. Turned around and ran with him. He was clipping at a pretty good rate. The snake he had seen a mile before might have something to do with it 🙂

After we ran for four miles together, he left having completed his longest run in quite some time. I went back to the trail to put in another eight miles.

That 13.1 miles (21Km) took 2 hours and 15 minutes in 86 deg F (30 deg C). The sight breeze and shade in the trail took most of the pain out of the heat…

Ran up and down the Strip for six miles. And then joined Mark Meade for a three mile walk. It is so much enjoyable when you don’t break a sweat after a 10K run. I have not run in this kind of dry weather in a long time…

You have not heard of the place? Neither had I !!! It is north of Philadelphia. And in the middle of June it is 52 degrees here!!!
