After getting the Breville coffee maker, started experimenting with coffee beans from different countries this year. This is the map of all the countries I have tried so far…

This coffee is from the western part of the country (Matagalpa region). Found this to be less sour and less bitter than the Tanzanian coffee I had before this. The coffee plants are usually shade grown on the side of low lying mountains.

The coffee is a bit more bitter than I was expecting. After a long time, I am trying normal milk (2%) instead of oat milk. Cannot say I am liking it as much. I will go back to oat milk to check whether it is the coffee or the milk.

Another prized gift I picked up from my best friend of yesteryears while we were in Australia was this bag of coffee. Australia is not very famous for coffee production (has a very high consumption of coffee though). Most of today’s coffee plantations are not even 50 years old and are in a small area in Queensland and New South Wales.

Opened the coffee today. It is less acidic and bit on the sweeter side. Loved the fresh aroma.
