Settled for a traditional Manhattan last night. Rye Whiskey (used Templeton), sweet vermouth and Angostura bitters.

Good summer drink to have by the pool. Vanilla Vodka, Cointreau and Dry Vermouth.

This has Bourbon, Dry Vermouth, Orange Curacao and a dash of Grenadine.

That classic summer drink from Cuba that is perfect sitting by the poolside on a hot day like today (93 degrees).

I have not been able to find the connection between the name of this cocktail and the 18th century American entrepreneur. The first mention of this drink though goes back to 1941

This has cognac, port wine, orange curaçao and bitters.

I know there are various recipes to make a chocolate martini – I used Godiva Dark Chocolate liquer this evening with some Vanilla Vodka.

This is a gin based cocktail. With Aperol, Lillet Blanc and some Angostura Bitters.

Was intrigued to find out the origin of the name for this drink. Apparently the 3Gs refer to the “G”in, St. “G”ermaine (elderflower liqueur) and “G”inger liqueur.

And frankly, that is all there is to it. Good evening cocktail (sweet/flowery) at the end of a hot day…

Not sure how it got its name but Mr. 404 has Vodka, Aperol, Elderflower liqueur, lemon juice and simple syrup.

Fairly interesting cocktail. The flowery, sweet elderflower liqueur continues grapples with the bitter edge of the Aperol. Neither dominates the other. The nose is definitely sweet and flowery but the length has the distinct Aperol bitterness.
