This is when you know you have grown old

Everyone fished out their iPhones from their pockets and purses as if it were an episode of synchronized swimming. Not to make calls or send texts – that would be too disrespectful. But for that other reason, Steve Jobs never thought about… reading menus 🙂

That said, I would not grow old with any other set of friends!

Picked this up from Dallas

I had gone to this coffee shop called Haraz. They are a Yemeni coffee shop like Shibam which is close to our house in Atlanta. Except, they also sell coffee beans!

This would be coffee beans from the 29th country for me!!

Caught up with some letter writing

I had been falling behind with my pen pals, what with the last few weekends completely gone to traveling. Finally, sat down and wrote to three of my friends – all in Europe. Used some new Midori paper that Madhuri Agrawal had introduced me to and the new Sailor pen from India. And yes, tried my brand new embosser too!!

From the barista’s corner: Galao

This is a Portuguese coffee drink. It has more milk than a cappuccino (1:3 ratio) and the frothed milk is mixed into the espresso without much foam in the top. Further, it is served in a tall glass. I did not have an appropriate glass for it. So, I used a regular kitchen water glass.
