I have been waiting for this day…

Such a momentous day. Such an event represents an enormous effort… all the preparations, all the twists and turns, all the hurt people, the race to the finish…

But it is here …

Today I celebrate one year anniversary of my first and only marathon I ran (in Greece from Marathon to Athens) – and survived, I might point out with a smirk πŸ™‚

What did you think I was talking about?

And people think campaign season is long…they should run a marathon.
I’m looking forward to hearing about marathon #2!

Chris, every runner friend of mine had predicted that after my first marathon, I would soon be going for the second one. Boy, don’t they look silly now πŸ™‚ And you have done, what 30 of them?

Just 13 but 14 is just around the corner. She has us driving to NorthGA this weekend.
You picked a great bit of history for your first. I can imagine you adding a few other majors in there such as London, NYC, and Boston.
