Finally… Relaxing…
Let’s see… First flight was a comedy of errors. A door won’t close. Five mechanics and an hour later, we pushed out. Then there was an engine issue. More mechanics. More delay. Finally we took off … with very little chance of catching our connecting flight. Thankfully, Delta had held the other plane back for a few minutes and we made it. Except, that got delayed … because… you guessed it – more door issues. Eventually, we reached our destination and joined our friends -Joydeep and Swapna from our good old Dallas days for a few days of R&R in the scenic resort of Coeur d’Alene.
Time to sip wine past 1am (that is 4am for me) catching up on old friends. (Ours are the only two families among a close set of families in Dallas that left Dallas)

The futility of it all…
The good news is that she acknowledges that she is forgetful … and therefore writes down lists.
The bad news is that she is too forgetful to even remember to take the list with her.
When I called her up, she reassured me that she remembered the four items. So far so good. The tactical mistake on her part was to try and prove it by trying to rattle off the items from memory…

A puzzle… after a long time…
Getting bored in the loooooong flight back. Suddenly remembered an email exchange I had with my friend Mita this week. It was actually a puzzle. In all honesty, I had heard a puzzle somewhat like that, so I was able to get it. Figured I will post it here.
The challenging part of the puzzle is its incredible simplicity. There are no catches in the puzzle. But the simplicity is bound to confuse readers. So here it goes…
“John called Mary. Mary called Tom. John is married but Tom is not”.
From the above, can you say whether the following statement
“A married person called an unmarried person” is
(a) Definitely True
(b) Definitely False
(c) Insufficient information to say whether True or False.
