Google maps almost got me into trouble
Picked up a rental car from the airport. Sure enough, it is driving on the other side of the road and all that. I made the mistake of flicking the wiper instead of turn lights only once in the whole day.
But look at the Google maps. You see the problem? It is asking me to take the roundabout form the wrong side!!! (In UK style driving, you will have to take the roundabout from the left side)

Ted Dimbero, this one is for you…
Delta managed to embarrass me one more time
You remember how Delta celebrated my 2 million miles mark the other day as I was getting on to my flight?
Well, something like that happened again this morning. This time for reaching Delta 360 status. Dipanjan (DJ), Parijat (PJ), Sharmila and myself had just settled down in the Skyclub when Delta showed up with a bottle of champagne and four glasses to celebrate the new status!!
Apologize for the picture quality. I took a screenshot from a video that PJ took.
This vacation has gotten off to a flying start…

Taking in some more sun before heading back
It was a good day to sit in the sun by the Pier and catch up on some reading. For those who disapprove of me sitting in the sun without sunscreen or a hat – and I am not saying your name has to be Sharmila necessarily – I might want to point out that the book I am reading is titled “Courage to be Disliked” !! (for real)

The cardinal brought back memories from my old house
I am no golfer. One life has been enough for me to strive for the green and end up in a hole without having to have golf double it up 🙂 That said, as my friends went out on their carts to get the whack-a-white-ball therapy, I strolled around in the beautifully manicured greens. There were lots of beautiful flowers and interesting birds.
This bird brought back memories from the previous house where I would sit in the porch with my DSLR and wait for the cardinals to come in pairs and try to take a good picture before they would spot me moving.
This was taken with my iPhone 11 from about 15 yards away (and then magnified).
