Saturday solo motorbike ride!
That 5K in 85 degrees? Yeah – it wiped me out!!
Harvest from today’s Farmers’ Market trip
Relaxing in downtown with a cup of tea
From the barista’s corner: Coffee from the 14th country – Australia
Another prized gift I picked up from my best friend of yesteryears while we were in Australia was this bag of coffee. Australia is not very famous for coffee production (has a very high consumption of coffee though). Most of today’s coffee plantations are not even 50 years old and are in a small area in Queensland and New South Wales.
Opened the coffee today. It is less acidic and bit on the sweeter side. Loved the fresh aroma.

Ran into an old friend
It had been a whole week since I last visited an airport. To alleviate some of the withdrawal symptoms, I gathered my laptop, an umbrella, some paper and pen and headed towards downtown Alpharetta. The idea was to sit down at Boarding Pass in one of those Delta seats that they have (they also have those carts they wheel down the aisle in Delta planes!!) and catch up on some work.
After finishing talking to the owners – Murilo and Christine – and gathering my drink, I started walking towards one of those flight seats. And that is when I heard my name being yelled. Looked at the corner table and who else did I see but good old Tina!! We worked together some 15 years back. I have a lot of memories of her as one of our brightest and fastest growing executives. Lately, I had been getting updates of her from another CEO friend of mine (who she had started working with) but I had not seen her for over a decade!
It was so great to catch up with her and meet her husband Diego, her son and his girlfriend!
Now, I have to look her up in Blairsville when I go there in my motorbike.

Nice morning on the lake
Crazy hailstorm
A gift and a conundrum
One of the gifts my best friend from school days – Avijit – who lives in Perth and flew all the way to meet us in Sydney showered me with is this boomerang. If you have a passing knowledge of art by the Aboriginals, you will recognize that in the dot patterns.
While feeling a deep sense of gratitude towards my friend from middle school, I am struck with a conundrum… How do I throw away the old one? ๐ ๐
