This trip has been one of rivers
Top to bottom, left to right…
River Charles (Boston), Tagus (Lisbon), Vistula (Krakow), Vltava (Prague), Elbe (Czech/Germany) and Thames (London)
What was supposed to be a 4 country trip became a 7 country trip that included an unplanned flight cancellation and an unplanned hike crossing a country border!

How you know I have been on an adventure trip in Europe
Cloudy, rainy and dreary London
Hats off to British Airways
We were stuck on the ground for 45 minutes. The rains had come into Prague and they were using one runway fewer.
The pilot came on to the PA and first thing he said was that people can get up, stretch and use the restrooms. No problems. And then he invited any young kid to come up and have a look at the cockpit!! Seven kids holding their parents’ fingers went up. It was a heart warming scene. Most of us were so amused waving at the kids that we did not feel the pain of the wait!!
This is intriguing
Even for a veteran flier like me, this is a bit strange…
You see that British Airways plane next door? Well, I am sitting in a BA plane too. We are both headed to Heathrow from Prague. Our scheduled departure time is exactly the same. And we reach at the same time!! When I was booking my flight, I noticed the same. I had figured something was amiss.
Not really.
I asked the person at the gate. He confirmed that two different BA equipments are scheduled to fly exactly at the same time the exact same route!
This is inexplicable to me!

A fitting end to a fabulous trip
A crazy trivia
You see all those steep rocks? They look like menhirs from Asterix and Obelix. All of them have a small box on the top. Inside it is a notebook and pen.
Believe it or not, there are folks who actually scale those vertical edges. And when you get to the top, you open the box and sign your name there!!
I think I am going to pass on that one!

To see the full bridge we climbed up a different rock
View thru the porthole
Thru the small crack in the rocks, you can see the river, the greenlands and a fast train (red color) speeding by. If you notice the hole in the rock – it was used to anchor in the wood beams that was used to make the original bridge. The wooden bridge got destroyed and was replaced with a rockstone one.
