Funny Bone: Thursday morning humor

So, here I was stuck in Atlanta airport with a much delayed puddle jumper. It was too early to call up people and I was getting bored. And then got this really really funny cartoon from Chris. As a context, see the other picture of text messages where we started by punning on “dog”.

Before I forget, Chris himself is a very very funny guy. We have worked together for years but are more friends than colleagues. One of my most common ribs on Chris was “you are too cynical, Chris”. And his memorable response was “just because I am cynical does not mean I am not right” ๐Ÿ™‚ Game, set and match to Chris!!

Funny Bone: Coming up for air from Sheboygan, Wisconsin

Learnt a few things. All county roads in here are named after letters. County road A, B etc etc. Also found out there is a falls called Sheboygan falls on the river called Sheboygan river by the city Sheboygan in the county called Sheboygan.

This makes Wisconsin only marginally more innovative than Atlanta where we name all our roads Peachtree!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Brought to you by Roy-ters: From the dept of useless research

Scientists at The Institute of Cancer Research, London, found that body mass index, waist-hip ratio, waist-height ratio and waist circumference all increased with increasing exposure to light at night.

Are you kidding me? This the Institute of “Cancer” Research. Why are they studying what makes people fat? And how did they even come up with the idea of switching off and on the lights as people sleep? Who is giving them research money?

Can they not, for just now, accept eating less food, exercising a little more as the answer? And whatever little fat is leftover, maybe they can come back to it after they have….. let’s say…. errrr…. found a cure for cancer or something?
