It is that time of the year in Georgia. The grapes are starting to get full and will be harvested soon…

Neither Sharmila nor I can claim to be big fans of Georgia wine. So, our expectations were fairly low. We got a glass of red wine each from either end – the most full bodied one and the lightest one. Surprisingly, we enjoyed it. Staring at the impressive Mount Yonah might have something to do with it!

First visit to get a good view of Mount Yonah (which I believe means “Bear” in Cherokee language). In the foreground, you can see the grape vines of Mount Yonah Winery. It is a beautiful winery.

This was on Lake Allatoona

Sharmila and I went to Lake Allatoona this week. Had a couple of drinks art Sunset Grille. It was a little warm initially but cooled down as the sun dipped down. There was some great live country music (which I do not understand but sometimes find the tunes catchy) and a couple of great motorbikes come by!

In fact, I remember coming to the park for prom pictures for Natasha. Never knew that there is a waterfall a short hike from there! This is in Vickery Creek Trail next to Roswell Mills. The Roy and Mukherjee girls had arranged for a hike and lunch.
