Cou Cou and Flying Fish are the two most common fish dishes served.

I remember in Turks and Caicos they had Thursday Fish Fry. In Samoa, it was Sunday after church. Here, in Barbados, Friday is Fish Fry day. Which means everybody goes out and has a good time. You eat fish fry, local rum and dance to the DJ out in the open!

This is in the famous Oistin Fish Fry.

This is the national flower of Barbados. We grew up with these in Durgapur all over. We called them “krishnachura”. I think Peacock flower in English.

I was careful enough to cover their cocktail glasses with books. That chicken was lurking around suspiciously!
