Shooting birds while talking to my brother
I think this is a Carolina Wren. I was talking to my brother on the phone sitting in the patio. This bird came to the bird feeder – a clear 20 yards away and started creating enough ruckus that my brother could hear it thru my Airpods. Grabbed the phone and tried to capture it while talking to my brother…

From the bartender’s corner – Bairn
I needed to finish up my Cointreau bottle. There was a little left and it was taking up shelf space. So, was looking for a unique cocktail with it. This is what I came up with after some research – a Bairn. This is blended scotch with cointreau and orange bitters. Predictably very orange forward in the nose. Served in a snifter or a lowball glass.

The smooth flow of a nib
on perfect paper. Great way to round out a great outdoor day. One thing I miss is monogrammed paper to write these Thank You letters on. Getting good quality fountain pen paper is difficult. Most of the companies that print letterheads for you do not carry such paper 🙁
