That’s like saying “Would Mr.Smith step up, please”? :-)

Boston Delta Skyclub is one of the biggest Skyclubs I have ever seen. I walk in and I was surprised to see a lot of my fellow Indians there. Found out – there are delayed flights to Paris (connecting to Bombay and Delhi) or something like that.
Anyways, I settled down and was busy catching up on emails when I heard the lady at the desk announce “Would passenger Patel please meet the front desk?”. Bemused, I looked over – and sure enough, in under 7 seconds there was a 11 deep queue!!
I don’t think the poor lady at the desk realized what was going on!!!

The land of Pyramids, the Sphinx and errrrr.. bikini?

Ever heard of the constant rife, sectarian violence and prospect of civil war in Egypt? Well, guess what – in a sudden urge to do his duty, the tourism minister of Egypt has appealed to the world to visit Egypt. His lure? You can’t make this up… in an English interview to The Guardian, Hisham Zazou, the aforementioned tourism minister, said “Bikinis are welcome in Egypt and booze is still being served.”
You think he might be in “de Nile”? πŸ™‚

This trip’s puzzle

Long coast to coast flight now πŸ™ Here is something to keep you busy as I take a nap πŸ™‚
Once again, send me personal message on FB if you have the answer – not in the Comments section.

Last week was my elder daughter (Natasha)’s fifteenth birthday. She had a bunch of school friends over for dinner and sleepover. The shrill decibel levels with a dozen teenagers at our house was enough for the dog to sleep most of the time outside our house πŸ™‚ But I digress. One of her friend’s mom has a cupcake business and we were glad to give her some business. Her standard packagings were 6 cupcakes to a packet, 9 cupcakes to a packet and 20 cupcakes to a packet. We ordered 60 and she delivered 3 packets of 20 each.

Which leads me to my question – what is the maximum number of cupcakes we could have ordered that she would not have been able to fit neatly in her packets? (e.g. 17 cupcakes would be impossible to neatly fit in her packets – there will be some leftovers. I am looking for the highest number that would not fit in her 6/9/20 packet combinations)

Al Gore

“According to Forbes magazine, Al Gore is now worth more than $200 million. This is what Gore meant when he talked about going green.” –Jay Leno
By the way, Gore, in real life is a very funny (and self-deprecating) guy. There is an interview of him by Peter Segal (Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me) that is outrageously funny. If you wish to hear it check out the Apr 20th podcast.
My favorite – Al Gore claims that he is so stiff and boring that the codename (when he was VP) given by Secret Service was …….. “Al Gore” πŸ™‚

WeatherGods have misunderstood

Two days of constant rainfall – water everywhere – rivulets in the backyard – huge puddles on the road – and now the forecast says more rain the evening.
It is like the WeatherGods have misunderstood today to be “Sinko de Mayo” or something πŸ™‚

This is crazy!!

It is not often (actually it has never been) that I get to speak at an industry event where they separate the men from the women for lunch. Did those rich Saudis buy up Florida or something πŸ™‚
You can see here the directions to Men’s Luncheon and also where all the women were having their luncheon πŸ™‚
