It used to be the case that we met Lauren virtually every day when she managed our local Chiringa. In fact, during COVID, the tent she put up outside the store for social distancing was our refuge on cold evenings. Then she moved to run the Belt Line store and then got promoted.

While walking with Jay Jay downtown this evening, I suddenly noticed Lauren at Chiringa. She saw me at the same time. We stood outside and talked for over half an hour, catching up on each other’s lives.

We miss her a lot!
