The Pantheon Plaza was very busy
Meanwhile, in Alpharetta
So, here we are in Rome, doing, somewhat expectedly, what Romans do. Eating too much, walking everywhere, pretending to understand Italian menus.
Meanwhile, back home, Jay Jay has apparently decided to live his local life uninterrupted. He dragged our poor dog sitter all the way to downtown Alpharetta and, with single-minded determination, marched straight into Chiringa – our local bar – and parked himself right next to his usual spot.
The Chiringa crew (Mae featured here) has been sending us photo updates.
This dog is not to be trusted.

Doria Pamphilj Gallery – our venue to dinner tonight
Rome is the city of obelisks
Obelisk to Marcus Aurelius
Trajan’s Forum (the remains)
Monument to Victor Emmanuel II
Next we reached the area of Trajan’s Column
Walking by ourselves in Rome
Went to the hotel from the airport, but the room was not ready. So, we took a shower in the spa, dumped the suitcases and headed for a walk. The hotel is right in the middle of downtown. In about four minutes of walk, we reached the Trevi Fountain. We were here last in 2015 with the two daughters and the Roy family from Dallas!
