From the bartender’s corner – Ginger Rogers
Invented in the famous bar and restaurant Zefiro in Portland, OR, this drink is named after the famous actress/dancer/singer. Which is a little curious, since she was a teetotaler. How she managed to marry five times and not ever get drunk is something beyond me.
In any case, this is gin, lime juice, ginger syrup, ginger ale and mint. Very refreshing drink for a hot day like today.
And you thought I was not funny? :-)
Research shows that the reason some of us laugh hysterically at an event or joke while some of us barely crack a smile has to do with our genes. Read it here http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/science/science-news/11642617/Heard-the-one-about-laughter-Its-all-in-your-genes.html
Again, the reason you don’t find my jokes funny? It’s not my jokes. It’s you π π

Here is an interesting piece of news that should make all oenophiles in the world throw up – apparently, good wine tastes like koala bear urine. You can read about it here: http://io9.com/good-wine-tastes-more-like-koala-urine-than-youd-think-1706588545
Who in this world sits in their lab and conjures up these experiments? Did somebody go – “I know. Here is a discovery idea that will revolutionize the world. I am going to taste all animal urine and see which one tastes most like wine!!”
And who funds these kind of experiments?
Can’t wait till Wine Spectator puts its rating on the new errrr… “Pee”no Grigio??? π
