More Friday news..
Looks like Bombay Sapphire just recalled their gin. Apparently, it has more alcohol than the label would suggest. (See https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/business/2017/05/04/gin-recalled-being-too-boozy/101278218/ )
I just have one question. Who the heck complained?
My thoughts exactly, when my daughter mentioned it today (I had gifted one of her classmates this for his birthday)
I was wondering this too and it turns out it was a “regular connoisseur” from Sault Ste Marie, Canada. For once, we can blame Canada and be right! http://www.montrealgazette.com/news/national/behind+bombay+sapphire+mishap+unhappy+customer+sault/13344942/story.html
“Regular connoisseur ” would be an oxymoron, right? 🙂
dang! too bad i didn’t buy any before the recall. 🙁
Score! I know, who complained!
Clearly, it was no one we know!
… or would want to know, for that matter 🙂
I hate to admit it, but it was a “connoisseur” in Canada that thought it taseted “off” and the test revealed 77% alcohol!
More like “booze-o” 🙂
I heard this on the radio yesterday and wondered why I didn’t have the good fortune of getting one of these bottles.
Really sad I missed out on this, I’ll just have to drink twice as much to make up for it.
sounds like a clever marketing coup
I better go get it before it’s pulled!
