Interesting contraption
Saw this right in front of the Colosseum. This was an interesting way to feed hay to the horse in a self contained feeder without anything spilling over. I don’t think I have ever seen anything like this before. I have some doubts though if the horse eventually learns that to reach the bottom of the feeder, it needs to put the feeder down on the ground…
Insulting the intelligence of this horse would be an equineknock. Yes…that was a stretch;-)
Made horse sense to me, Andrew 🙂
Test its IQ
In downtown Dallas, the carriages have horses with bags on the other end. Same idea end-to-end, no spillover.
After reading Andrew’s comment, for the second time in a week, I find myself looking for a *groan* button
Bob Hart…well, you are a “grown” man.
Nice, Andrew!!
They also have similar pouches for the other end of the horse..!!
Hey Rajib….this is SO common here in India that I’m surprised that you haven’t seen it all these years!
It is common in the rural areas of India. As it nears the end.. The horse puts the bag down and feeds from it. What I liked in Egypt was that they had a crap collector and the horse droppings never hit the roads.
It is called a nosebag. If you remember your PGW, you’d recall Bertie mentioning about ‘putting on the nosebag with the old relative’ when he refers to dining with Aunt Dahlia.
