International Women’s Day
Today being International Women’s Day, let us start the day with an appropriate quote from Mark Twain: “What would men be without women? Scarce, sir…mighty scarce.” 🙂
You are always thought provoking. In the middle of the night I stared at the empty space in the bed and remembered some conversation we had 🙂
Was this the one about defending one’s own side of the bed? 🙂
Miniscule, Ma’am, miniscule
MT is one of my fav writers.
Love it ….
Hal and Nitadi, I have always been a big fan of how Twain put stuff in a very simple and elegant way and yet carried a big punch of a message! Another one that has made a deep impression on me – “Whenever you find yourself in the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect”
Nice
Agree with that too Rajib ….
I just had to share this…
Amrita, go for it!
Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one’s lifetime.
–Mark Twain
My favorite of his quotes. It has taken me to more than 70 countries so far.
loved your process to celebrate 8th March.
I would say “Single”
Rupak, I think his point is without women to procreate, there would be no men!!
